Barcelona says Adios to Bullfighting, But The Tradition Endures
Centuries of toreador history ended in Barcelona last weekend, when Spain’s northeast region of Catalonia held its last bullfight after voting to stop the practice in 2010. But the bullfighting ban in fiercely independent Catalonia remains controversial.
